SYMBIAN PHONES CONFIGURATIONS SETTINGS(MTN)

 

Manual setting :


1) Press the menu key , select [Web] > [Options] .
2) In the list , scroll down to [Settings] > [Access point] , press [Options] .
3) Select [Change] , press [Options] , choose [New access point] , follow the arrow and select [Use default settings] .
4) Enter the following information :

Connection name : MTN WAP
Data bearer : Packet data
Access point name : web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
User name : web
Prompt password : No
Password : web
Authentication : normal
Homepage : http://wap.mtnonlineplay.com

5) Press [Options] , select [Advanced settings] .
6) Enter the following information :

Network type : IPv4
Phone IP address : Automatic
Name server : Automatic
Proxy serv. address : 10.199.212.2
Proxy port number : 8080

7) Press [Back] two times .
8) To activate the profile, in the list, choose the created profile , MTN WAP and press [Options] > [Select] .
The profile is saved and activated .









                                                                    MMS



Manual setting :


1) Press the menu key , select [Messaging] .
2) In [Messaging] , press [Options] and select [Settings] .
3) In [Settings] , choose [Multimedia message] .
4) Select [Access point in use] , press [Options] > [Change] .
5) Press [Options] , select [New access point] , follow the arrow , select [Use default settings] and press [Select] .
6) Enter the following information :

Connection name : MTN MMS
Data bearer : Packet data
Access point name : web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
User name : web
Prompt password : No
Password : web
Authentication : normal
Homepage : http://10.199.212.8/servlets/mms

5) Press [Options] , select [Advanced settings] .
6) Enter the following information :

Phone IP address : Automatic
Primary name server : Leave empty
Second. name server : Leave empty
Proxy serv. address : 10.199.212.2
Proxy port number : 8080

7) Press [Back] two times , in [Multimedia message] select the created profile MMS , press [Options] > [Select] .
The profile is saved and activated .
